Evergrande founder Hui Ka Yan sentenced to life in prison over China's biggest collapse
- A Shenzhen court sentenced the man who built China's most indebted property developer to life imprisonment, confiscating his personal fortune and fining Evergrande and its main subsidiary a combined $2.3 billion.
- Five other executives were jailed for six to 18 years over a fraud the court called sustained and large-scale.
