Potato chip recall raised to the FDA's highest risk level over salmonella fears

- regulators have classified a recall of Zapp's and Dirty brand potato chips as Class I — the Food and Drug Administration's most serious tier — over the possible presence of salmonella in a seasoning ingredient.
- The maker, Utz, pulled the chips voluntarily, and no illnesses have been linked to them.
