OPEC+ Moves to Raise Oil Output Again as Prices Soften

  • OPEC and its allies are set to approve another increase in oil production for August, of about 188,000 barrels a day, extending a run of monthly hikes that is unwinding cuts made in 2023.
  • The added barrels have so far had limited real-world effect, as this year's closure of the Strait of Hormuz has held back exports.
