LG's maskless OLED breakthrough promises brighter screens that last far longer

LG Display has unveiled FLiPP, a manufacturing technique that patterns OLED pixels with light instead of metal stencils.
The company says panels made this way are 1.6 times brighter, use 13 percent less power, and last 2.4 times longer, a direct attack on OLED's oldest weakness: burn-in.
