Venezuela Earthquake Toll Rises Past 3,500 as Search Continues

  • The number of people confirmed killed by the twin earthquakes that struck northwestern Venezuela on June 24 has risen to about 3,535, officials say, with more than 16,000 injured, tens of thousands still missing and international rescue teams working through the rubble nearly two weeks on.
