Tesla quietly ends the Solar Roof after about 3,000 installations

There was no announcement.
Tesla told third-party installers it would no longer supply the tiles, and on Thursday its Solar Roof page began redirecting to ordinary solar panels.
Elon Musk once said Tesla would build a thousand of these roofs a week.
