The ocean set a temperature record on Friday, and broke it again on Saturday
- Copernicus recorded a global average sea surface temperature of 21.1C, above the 21.09C set in March 2024.
- El Nino is intensifying and is expected to peak between November and January.
- Fossil fuel emissions have already added 0.8C to ocean temperatures.
