Nintendo Will Stop Selling the Original Switch in Europe Over New EU Battery Rules

Nintendo says it will stop selling the original Switch, along with the Switch Lite and OLED models, to European retailers from mid-February 2027, a decision tied to new EU rules requiring portable devices to have user-replaceable batteries.
The consoles will stay on sale elsewhere.
