A study ties long, unbroken sitting to cancer-death risk, but can't prove cause
- A large study that measured older women's movement with wearable sensors found that those who sat the most — and in the longest unbroken stretches — had a somewhat higher risk of dying from cancer.
- But the researchers are careful to say the finding is an association, not proof that sitting causes cancer deaths.
